Open Positions:

Marketing Manager: Part-time (3-4 days a week)/ Year-round

We are seeking an experienced marketing specialist with responsibility for planning and executing marketing and communications strategies to promote our school’s residential and day programs.  Requires strong writing and communication skills.  Responsibilities include preparing all print and digital marketing materials, newsletters and press releases, managing contact and donor database, social media, tracking and reporting website activity, managing photo and video content and collaborating with PR consultant.  Other responsibilities include scheduling and arranging special events such as Open Houses, coordinating marketing presence for expos and conferences, and other off-site visits to target prospects, and educating a specific audience including state and federal legislators about our school.

Admissions Coordinator: Part-time (minimum 24 hours per week)/ Year-round

This position is responsible for overseeing a comprehensive Admissions program with responsibility for recruiting students for education, with and without boarding.  Other responsibilities include providing outreach to educators, parents, physicians and other referral sources to increase school wide admissions efforts, attending conferences, fairs, conventions and other off-site events through-out the year.

Eligibility requirements include a minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree, advanced degree preferred; training and experience in Special Education Administration, Social Work, Special Education or related field; at least 5 years experience.  Must be willing to travel frequently.

 

Development Coordinator: Full time/Year-round

Responsibilities include working with the Board, Executive Director, and school leadership in raising funds to enhance school and residential projects and programs, generating support among the community for the school and its missions, and administering donor acknowledgements and reporting, and maintaining the database.

Must have exceptional interpersonal and persuasive skills along with strong written and verbal communication and presentation skills and a history of successfully funded grant applicants.  In order to be considered, candidates must be professional, organized and approachable, and capable of effectively engaging others.

Qualified candidates will have a minimum of a Bachelor’s degree, 5 years progressive experience in all aspects of Development, including donor cultivations, grant writing and planning special events.

LPN: 11PM-7AM shift

HMS School is seeking an LPN for full time shift coverage from 11PM-7AM in our residential dormitory for medically fragile students with complex needs. The start date is immediate upon completion of the pre-hire process, including, but not limited to background checks, current license and CPR submission. LPN applicants must demonstrate the professional ability to provide direct nursing care including medication administration, treatments and, and skilled interventions; implement student care plans; support continuity of health care; and, participate in a team approach.

Required: One year of healthcare facility experience. Pediatric experience preferred. Pennsylvania LPN license, CPR.

Personal Care Assistant- Monday through Friday Day Shift/One Weekend a  month

Duties include promoting and providing the highest quality physical and emotional care to HMS students, providing assistance to students by performing and facilitating tasks the students cannot do for themselves, while encouraging independence when appropriate. PCAs participate in classroom settings and during recreational activities.

Must have a High School Diploma or equivalent. Must be at least 21 yrs old in accordance with Department of Public Welfare which regulates our residence. Experience working with children is a plus.
