Open Positions:

RN: 3PM-11PM shift

HMS School is seeking a Registered Nurse for the 3PM-11PM shift in our residential facility for students. This 40 hour/week position includes a commitment to charge nurse duties one of every four (4) weekends and some holidays. HMS School follows a traditional school year and vacation calendar.

Applicants must demonstrate the professional ability to manage and coordinate pediatric or adult health care in a health facility or school setting; facilitate a team approach; provide nursing care and interventions, delegate responsibilities and adhere to timelines, recognize and address problems; supervise and advise staff; and, oversee the development and implementation of student care plans.

Skills: Leader, capable caregiver, effective communicator, resourceful, works independently with minimal supervision, collegial, good judgement, sound decision maker, preceptor, organized, pro-active, flexible, computer literate and competent in web or software based programs.

Qualifications: Pediatric experience preferred.

Strong reading comprehension, verbal skills, computer, web research and data entry skills.

Pennsylvania RN license, CPR and PA DOH and DOE clearances are required for hire.

LPN: 11PM-7AM shift

HMS School is seeking an LPN for full time shift coverage from 11PM-7AM in our residential dormitory for medically fragile students with complex needs. The start date is immediate upon completion of the pre-hire process, including, but not limited to background checks, current license and CPR submission. LPN applicants must demonstrate the professional ability to provide direct nursing care including medication administration, treatments and, and skilled interventions; implement student care plans; support continuity of health care; and, participate in a team approach.

Required: One year of healthcare facility experience. Pediatric experience preferred. Pennsylvania LPN license, CPR.

Personal Care Assistant- Monday through Friday Day Shift/One Weekend a  month

Duties include promoting and providing the highest quality physical and emotional care to HMS students, providing assistance to students by performing and facilitating tasks the students cannot do for themselves, while encouraging independence when appropriate. PCAs participate in classroom settings and during recreational activities.

Must have a High School Diploma or equivalent. Must be at least 21 yrs old in accordance with Department of Public Welfare which regulates our residence. Experience working with children is a plus.
