Job Fair for Personal Care Assistants: Thursday, August 15, 2019

HMS School for Children with Cerebral Palsy will be hosting a Job Fair for Personal Care Assistants on Thursday, August 15, 2019 starting at 9:00 am, ending 10:30 am. Please arrive by 9:00 am in order to attend a group presentation of the school and the available positions. Interviews will be held on the spot. We are located at 4400 Baltimore Avenue, Philadelphia, PA 19104.

Candidates need to be at least 21 years old with a high school diploma or GED equivalent. Please bring these required documents with you. Both full and part-time positions are available for 7 am to 3 pm; 3 pm to 1 1pm; 11 pm to 7 am shifts. Experience working with children or in the Health Field is a plus.

For purposes of the fair, there is free parking in our front lot and overflow in our back lot. You can enter into the building at our front entrance off of Baltimore Ave. Please ring the bell and state the reason for your visit. Open Positions:

Full Time RN Position 3-11 Shift
HMS School for Children with Cerebral Palsy is recruiting a nurse for our 3-11 residential team this September. We are seeking a nurturing individual to provide clinical support and continuity of care to medically fragile students with complex medical needs. Nursing at HMS is a professionally challenging and rewarding career that provides education, therapy and skilled healthcare services for children age 5-21 in both day and boarding school settings.

Pennsylvania RN license, CPR Certification and PA Department of Education background clearances are required for hire. Pediatric experience preferred. Effective communication skills a must. A pro-active nature, strong engagement skills, efficient time management and collegial approach are essential components of this position. Some responsibilities include: managing student health care needs; completing assessments and screenings; developing comprehensive care plans; supervising support personnel; attending conferences and meetings with parents and school staff.

We offer a competitive salary and follow a school year calendar.

Personal Care Assistant- Monday through Friday Day Shift/One Weekend a  month
Duties include promoting and providing the highest quality physical and emotional care to HMS students, providing assistance to students by performing and facilitating tasks the students cannot do for themselves, while encouraging independence when appropriate. PCAs participate in classroom settings and during recreational activities.

Must have a High School Diploma or equivalent. Must be at least 21 yrs old in accordance with Department of Public Welfare which regulates our residence. Experience working with children is a plus.
