Transportation

Transportation is arranged through individual school districts. Students are transported in wheelchair-accessible lift buses that may be air conditioned if required. Due to the medical issues many of our students face, many times a nurse or attendant rides the bus, ensuring a safe ride for students who are at risk of seizures or require tube feeding while in transit.

Transportation is also arranged for residential students through their school districts, whether students stay at HMS Monday through Friday and return home for the weekend or are seven-day residents who go home for school holidays and following the summer closing.
