HMS Residential Services

At HMS School, our residential program provides a safe, supportive, and engaging environment where students can thrive beyond the classroom. Designed to feel like a true home away from home, our facility offers a warm and welcoming space for students to rest, learn, and grow. Harris Hall, our residential wing, offers spacious, dorm-like accommodations where students can keep their belongings, relax, and enjoy a sense of independence.

At HMS, our dedicated team of licensed pediatric nurses provides round-the-clock, five to seven-day-a-week care, ensuring the health and safety of students with complex medical conditions. Under the leadership of the Vice President of Health Services and the Medical Director, our nurses work alongside trained caregiving staff to deliver expert medical support tailored to each child’s needs.

We offer 5, 7 and residential overnight options, allowing families to choose the best fit for their students transition goals and needs. Additionally, our residence welcomes students who typically may not attend HMS during the school year to participate in our Extended School Year (ESY) program, providing education and engagement during our ESY programming.

Our residential program is certified by the Pennsylvania Department of Human Services, Division of Children, Youth, and Families, ensuring the highest standards of care and safety.
