About Community Day
When Helen Innes founded HMS in 1882, she began a mission to provide a home and school for kids with disabilities, providing them with the best possible care. Today we carry on that tradition of excellence, and we’re grateful to be part of such a wonderful cerebral palsy community and family that was started so long ago. We’re proud to celebrate 141 years since our founding, Augmentative & Alternative Communication (AAC) Awareness Month (October), World Cerebral Palsy Day (Oct. 6) as well as World Teacher’s Day (Oct. 5).
We have a lot to celebrate, and we hope you’ll join us for a day of games, food, prizes, and music as we gather together with our friends and family for the best party of the year!

We can’t make a day like this possible without your help. As a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, HMS relies on your support to bring the best possible care and education to our students and continue the mission that our founder started almost a century and a half ago.

Directions
HMS is located at 4400 Baltimore Ave, Philadelphia, PA, 19104, directly next to Clark Park. The entrance to our Community Day can be found around back of the school on 45th Street.
Parking
Parking in our front and side lot will be available on a first come, first served basis, as will be street parking around HMS. HMS’ back lot can be entered on Chester Ave and will be available for families requiring accessible parking.
